CONESAM Participates in NASSI’s 7th International Trade Fair

The Coalition Network of Stakeholders in Agricultural Mechanization (CONESAM), a UKAID-facilitated community of practice, recently strengthened its engagement within Nigeria’s agribusiness ecosystem through active participation in the 7th Nigerian Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI) International Trade Fair. The trade fair was held from October 3–6, 2023, at the Digital Bridge Institute, Cappa, Oshodi, Lagos, and focused on promoting Made-in-Nigeria products, expanding market access for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and fostering business-to-business (B2B) networking and partnerships. A core objective of the event was to support indigenous industries by encouraging the “Buy Nigerian” movement and creating opportunities for MSMEs to connect with broader markets. Through exhibitions, networking, and knowledge sharing, the fair aimed to strengthen enterprise growth and competitiveness. CONESAM played an active role as a corporate participant alongside key institutions such as SMEDAN, RMRDC, FIIRO, BOI, FCMB, and First Bank of Nigeria. The organization enhanced its visibility through event brochure advertisements, branded banners, and the use of information, communication, and education (IEC) materials to engage visitors and prospective members. CONESAM members also showcased agricultural mechanization products at the organization’s booth. Throughout the four-day event, CONESAM participated in exhibitions and seminars and was given a 10-minute speaking slot to present its mission and values. In his address, the CONESAM President emphasized the importance of collaboration with NASSI and other Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) to advance agricultural mechanization and drive innovation across the sector. CONESAM’s participation reaffirmed its commitment to partnership, innovation, and sustainable growth within Nigeria’s agricultural mechanization landscape.
